Hi There!
I’m Riley Tench, a versatile A/V professional with over 15 years of experience bringing creative visions to life through technology.
My journey began in Healy, Alaska, where I cut my teeth providing lighting and sound for local theatrical productions, weddings, and community events while offering IT support to the local school district and small businesses. This foundation in both creative and technical work propelled me to Eastern Oregon University, where I designed lighting, sound, and video for local productions and ran the broadcast video switching and graphics for school sports.
In 2017, I joined Royal Caribbean as a lighting technician, maintaining multi million-dollar production venues, collaborating with guest artists, honing my skills in lighting design and programming, media servers and projection mapping. My cruise ship career expanded when I took out new vessels for Virgin Voyages, MSC, and NCL’s Regent Seven Seas as a video programmer and BlackTrax specialist.
Along the way, I launched a YouTube channel about cruise ship life in late 2019 that flourished during an unexpected five-month stay aboard a ship in Asia during the pandemic.
My work has taken me to over 30 countries across six continents, exposing me to diverse production methods and creative approaches. I am always on the move and never quite know where I’ll end up next.
I thrive under pressure, constantly learning and pushing technological boundaries to elevate storytelling and create unforgettable experiences.
